  • Background: sexual health with a focus on women's health at the college level
  • Coordinated the Sexual Health and Reproductive Education Programs at the UM University Health Center for 10 years
  • Health Center activities included: pregnancy counseling and referrals, HIV pre/post testing services, and peer education (sexual health and date rape) programming
  • Left UMCP in 2000 and joined faculty at Howard Community College, Health Sciences Division (taught: Principles of Community Health, Health and the World of Risk, Human Sexuality, and Women's Health)
  • Participated in community health related activities in Howard County, including: coordination of World AIDS Day events, Sexual Health and Parenting Workshops, and At Risk Youth programming
